Round 1 Race Results Lakewood

 

GNSS Points System:

GNSS racers will now enjoy the best of both worlds in relation to accumulating points towards season championships.  A three-moto format will be used at all points paying events for the 2008-2009 season.  Racers will score equal series points for finishes in both heat races and main events at each round of the series.  However, the overall winner for the day will still be determined via the “final” race or “main event” on the day.  See example below.

In this scenario – driver #362 would be the overall winner on the day and thus take home the first place money/trophy via his win in the main event.  However, driver #899 leaves this round of the series with the most points earned toward the series championship via his consistency throughout both the heats and mains.

This format will promote hard racing in every race or “heat” and provide fans with a clear-cut winner in each class.
